Harley Moon Kemp has described becoming unwell with severe period pain while filming Celebrity Race Across the World. Her account concerns an episode during the 2025 series, rather than an announcement of a diagnosed long-term illness.
What happened during Celebrity Race Across the World?
The singer-songwriter, who performs as Harleymoon Kemp, discussed the experience with her brother Roman on his You About? podcast after they won the competition.
In a report published on 12 December 2025, Yahoo TV UK described her account of an overnight stay on the Guna Yala islands. She said she woke with intense period pain and struggled with the lack of toilet and shower facilities.
Harleymoon recalled trying to find the medic because the pain was so severe. She said the episode continued throughout the night and explained why she did not appear in a subsequent scene in which Roman went into the jungle. The experience itself was not shown in the television programme.
The podcast’s official episode listing confirms that the siblings discussed difficult moments from their journey that did not reach the screen.
Has she disclosed an underlying diagnosis?
The reported account identifies severe period pain but does not name an underlying medical condition or explain what treatment she received. It does not establish whether the symptoms recurred, and no reliable source identified for this article confirms a continuing illness.
A description of symptoms should not be turned into a diagnosis. Likewise, a difficult night during filming does not establish someone’s present health status.
Martin Kemp’s medical history is a separate story
Harley Moon’s father, Martin Kemp, has spoken publicly about having two brain tumours in the 1990s. National Lottery Good Causes reported that one was removed surgically and the other treated with radiation.
Those disclosures concern Martin’s health and should not be attributed to his daughter.
In a July 2026 interview with IGigs, Harleymoon discussed her songwriting, live performances and the audiences she gained through Race Across the World. That interview provides later career context; it does not offer a medical update about the episode she described.
